Master Terminal notches up 4th Middle East port

Christchurch, 23 August 2012 — Jade Software’s port management software, Master Terminal, has made further inroads into the Middle East following its selection by Hutchinson Ajman Container Terminal to manage its operations at the Port of Ajman in the United Arab Emirates.

The port of Ajman is located on the Gulf coast approximately 8 kilometres north east of Sharjah. It currently handles a variety of cargoes including containers, break bulk and vehicles. The win is Jade’s fourth in the region, where Master Terminal is currently used at Ruwais in Abu Dhabi, Umm Qasr in Iraq and Port of Doha in Qatar.

David Lindsay, Chief Operating Officer of Jade, says the company is delighted to be selected by Hutchinson Ajman Container Terminal.

“We look forward to working alongside the port to help it achieve its business goals. Master Terminal is an innovative system, and I am confident it will improve productivity and efficiency at the port.”

Master Terminal replaces the port’s legacy system and is expected to go live in the last quarter of 2012.

The sale supports Jade’s commitment to becoming the fastest-growing terminal operator system (TOS) provider in the Middle East. Master Terminal has also recently been implemented at Poti Sea Port in Georgia.

Lindsay adds: “This series of international wins continues to highlight Master Terminal as the leading TOS solution for ports that are looking for an innovative and leading system. It is especially suited to those ports handling containers and mixed cargo.”
